Word Wonders: Eiman Siddiqui Wins the PVS Spelling Bee

PVS’s school-wide spelling bee was held on Wednesday, November 1st, and after a fierce competition, five elementary and middle students were determined as the winners: Eiman Siddiqui, Mouhammad Sarr, Affaan Quadri, Saliha Rahman, and Eshaan Quadri. 

Congratulations to these five! 

Every student who participated in the spelling bee demonstrated commendable effort, though only the first place winner, Eiman Siddiqui, will be advancing to the regional level. Following is a short interview with our 2023 spelling bee champion.

Q: Have you won or participated in the spelling bee in previous years?

A: I haven’t won but I've participated in the school spelling bee when I was in 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th, and iI’e always wanted to win.

Q: How did it feel to win this year after aspiring to do so throughout your childhood?

A: It felt really amazing and I felt like trying every year had finally paid off.

Q: How do you feel about being the only participant to advance to regionals? Are you nervous or excited?

A: I’m excited to participate but nervous because I know how good the other contestants will be there.
