PVS's First Literary Journal: The Katib Blog

There is no doubt that art and writing play a significant role in all of our lives, whether we realize it or not. With more and more students participating in writing and art competitions and an increased effort to enhance literacy school-wide, we have decided to form our school’s first literary journal, Katib (كاتب - writer) blog, in which works produced by middle and high school will be published.

But that’s not all! Similar to other national and international writing and art competitions, your entries will be competing with other artists in your level. For our first year, the three levels will be elementary school (3-5), middle school (6-8), and high school (9-12). A dedicated team of judges will be reviewing your work and choosing the winners of our first art and writing competition at the end of this school year. The works of those who don’t win this year will still be published in the Katib Blog.

We also have a bonus competition! For all of our artists and graphic designers out there, get your pencils out and creative caps on and get ready to design a logo for the literary journal, Katib Blog. Use your imagination to create a logo that you think best portrays the literary journal and its name. If chosen, your design can be the logo for the Katib Blog!
