BRIDGES Applications Are Open!

Attention all future and returning Bridge Builders! If you would like to apply to the Bridge Builders COLLABORATE program this year, the application is now open! The early application deadline is February 18 for returning Bridge Builders, and the regular application deadline for new and returning Bridge Builders is April 15. Bridge Builders COLLABORATE is a year-long leadership program for rising 7th-12th grade students. The program includes a one-week summer leadership conference and six trainings, electives, and community actions during the school year.
Harris Siddiqui, a passionate Bridge Builder, commented, “My experience at BRIDGES has been really moving so far; I can feel myself going out more and having a greater impact in my local community because of it. It's not a lot of work either and isn't stressful, so it works well with school. They've given me a wonderful opportunity to grow and I believe it will do the same for other students.”
The conference covers important topics in a fun way that keeps students engaged. During training sessions Bridge Builders discuss important topics affecting their community. Electives allow Bridge Builders to meet with people from different careers and organizations in the city of Memphis. Community actions provide Bridge Builders the opportunity to give back to their city by helping a community or neighborhood. To learn more about Bridge Builders, click here.
Students will participate in one training, one elective, and one community action per semester in the school year. Due to COVID precautions, many events are virtual, but in-person opportunities are also available. If the COVID situation improves next semester, rising juniors and seniors will spend their summer conference at a week-long sleepaway retreat.
