Zari Muhammad (c/o’18):
Zari Muhammad is a junior at Washington University in St. Louis where she is currently pursuing a major in African and African American Studies with a minor in Arabic. She has been named a Ralph Bunch Scholar for academic excellence and is also a part of the Ervin Scholar Program at WashU. She is active on campus and serves as a mentor as part of WashU's program called City Faces. She is also the Vice President of her school's competitive slam poetry team (WU-SLam). She has held an internship at the National Civil Rights Museum for two consecutive years and is currently researching the perpetuation of anti-Blackness in the global Muslim community as a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Research Fellow

Alhusain Hadidi (c/o’19):
Alhusain Hadidi is currently pursuing a psychology major at the University of Memphis as a pre-med student. He is actively involved on campus as the president of University of Memphis’ Muslim Student Association, or MSA. He has held internships with Midsouth Immigration Advocates in Memphis and Griot Arts, a local nonprofit in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Alhusain is passionate about the arts, specifically spoken word poetry, for which he has won several awards, including his most recent, awarded to him by renowned poet Tariq Touré at AMIN’s virtual poetry slam this summer.
