Pleasant View School fourth-graders took a field trip to Bluff City Escape Rooms for team building exercises.

Afaf Obid and April Jenkins took their classes to the Bluff City Escape Rooms on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Students had to work together to “escape” a room with a central theme.

Students worked with their teammates to find clues and solve riddles in order to make their way out of the room before time ran out. And after, students were rewarded with lunch at Cici’s Pizza.

The purpose of the field trip was to have a fun and exciting activity that educated the students on how important it is to work together as a team.

“Field Trips are valuable learning experiences because they expose students to new experiences, resulting in efficiency gains such as positive feelings toward a topic and provide students with real-world skills,” Obid said.

Obid said these experiences are memorable and help students succeed in the future. And the students had a lot of fun working together.

“Alhamdulillah, all students had great feedback,” Obid said. “They all wrote an excellent reflection paper afterward about their experience at the escape room."
